My next task is to see if I can find the cause for the stupid 40 second turn bug. When I figure out where the conflict is, I will post the fix. The problem with LAN is that the button is not displaying. just for grins, I clicked the area where the LAN game box is supposed to be in the menu and it went to the LAN menu. As far as the missing tooltip bug goes, all of the graphics files are present and I suspect another broken layout file.ĪdmiralBarrett: UPDATE: I went through the XMLs and I saw that the multiplayer menu XML matched the Steam Version. People who do not own the Steam copy can just click the blank space above the Internet Leagues button ( parallel with the Single Player Button) and it will go to LAN anyway. People who own the Steam version can simply copy this file from their Steam copy's directory to the GOG version to restore the LAN game button. ![]() This cannot be a bug and appears to be intentional on the part of the Developer in order to dummy out LAN play. The file Multiplayer.layout in the /data/Gui/Layouts/MainMenu/Legendary folder disables the button on line 152. UPDATE 2: I have located the source of the problem with LAN games. Doubly so since Cyanide provides a lot more support with Blood Bowl 2 then any of the older versions.UPDATE: I went through the XMLs and I saw that the multiplayer menu XML matched the Steam Version. I was one of the first group of people to switch to Blood Bowl 2 from Chaos Edition and I have not regretted it in the slightest. ![]() BB2: Legendary Edition also adds a free camera (I think C switches camera modes?). "RTS Mode" (I presume you mean Blitz Mode) was disliked by most of the playerbase and served mostly to confuse newcomers by adding rules and options that experienced players never used.īlood Bowl 2 does have a grid overlay (I think it's control key?) with several modes. ![]() Chaos Edition came with, I think, three races (Chaos Dwarves, Underworld, and the Cyanide created Khorne Daemons) and a stadium and, from what I remember, it was not considered a great value unless one specifically wanted those races.Ĭhaos Edition also had a number of bugs and Cyanide was not fixing them experienced players could mostly avoid them (which would make them less visible in Let's Plays), but they were far from intuitive (general advice was to completely avoid the saved Formations stuff because it sometimes lead to being stuck with the wrong number of players on the pitch). Nobody else's opinion has to reflect your own, or change how you enjoy either game.Īs /u/blazhugh says, BB1: Chaos Edition was an expansion to BB1: Legendary Edition (which was itself an expansion to an earlier edition the original version of BB1 didn't have that many more teams than the original release of BB2 and also failed to implement rules like weather). I want to know your opinions, and it's completely fine to disagree. To be fair, I haven't played either game to their full extent, most of my opinions here is based on reviews and let's-plays, so am I missing something vital? I don't like to think that Cyanide made the changes they made to "Pander to casuals" or because "They're moneygrubbing", but the fact is I can't think of a single thing in Blood Bowl 2 that is objectively, universally Better that wasn't in Chaos edition. ![]() There were allot of teams, the control scheme wasn't perfect but it was completely playable and quite intuitive, you could actually spin the camera, there were more game modes (like the RTS mode), there was actually a grid overlay for the pitch and several different skins for the pitch (like the snow pitch and the pirate ship), not to mention that the UI was organized and intuitive. To begin with the game came out in one piece, instead of some 15 DLC options that cost extra.
